 PRICING  FAQ's

&

1) Recommended Stair Fee (after the 1st included flight)

Standard pricing

  • +$15 per flight (Seniors & Student)

  • +$25 per flight (Standard & Seniors)

  • +$30 per flight (Premium)

  • +$TBD (Commercial or oversized/heavy-item carries)

Stairs Policy

  • One flight of stairs is included in your move.

  • Additional flights are billed due to added labor and time.

  • Please let us know in advance if either location has multiple flights so we can quote accurately.

Why this is applicable:

A “Charge” is applicable per additional full flight when movers must carry items up/down stairs at either location (pickup or drop-off).

Example - When to apply:

  • Pickup has 3 flights, drop-off has 1 flight

  • First flight is included (typically per location or overall—see “what’s included” section)

  • Additional flights chargeable = 2 extra flights (if using per-location inclusion, then pickup has 2 extra, drop-off has 0 extra)

2) Recommended Long-Carry Fee (distance from truck to door/elevator)

Recommended

  • First 75 ft included

  • +$25 for 76–150 ft

  • +$50 for 151–250 ft

  • +$75+ for 251+ ft (or custom quote)

Why this is applicable:

Long carries slow the crew down a lot and can turn a 3-hour job into 4+ hours. This protects your time and keeps standard jobs fairly priced.

When to apply:

Charged when movers must carry items a long distance due to:

  • no loading zone nearby

  • underground parking with a long walk

  • long hallways / multiple security doors

  • townhouse complexes / rear-lane access

  • building rules preventing close truck access

3) Heavy Item Fee (>200 lb)

Recommended (per item)

  • 200–300 lb: +$75 per item

  • 301–400 lb: +$125 per item

  • 401+ lb: Custom quote / on-site assessment

  • Pianos / safes / stone slabs / commercial copiers: Custom quote only

Why this is applicable:

Heavy items increase risk, require slower handling, extra labor, and sometimes special equipment. These jobs should never be “absorbed” into standard hourly pricing.

Examples; when to apply:

  • large gun safes

  • commercial fridges/freezers

  • treadmills/gyms

  • marble/stone tables

  • oversized dressers

  • industrial printers/copiers

  • pianos (always special quote)

4) Multiple Stop Fee (extra pickup/drop-off locations)

Recommended:

  • 1 pickup + 1 drop-off = included

  • Additional stop (same general route): +$49 per stop

  • Additional stop requiring major detour/time delay: +$79 per stop

  • Plus any extra km/zone charges if distance exceeds included travel

Why this works:

Extra stops add planning, loading/unloading time, parking, access coordination, and route delays. A flat fee keeps quotes clean and avoids surprises.

Examples; when to apply:

  • picking up a couch from Marketplace before the main move

  • stopping at storage before the final destination

  • donation drop-off after move completion

  • splitting delivery to two condos

5) Wait Time / Access Delay Fee

Recommended:

  • First 15 minutes grace (optional, goodwill)

  • Then billed at your regular hourly rate in 15-minute increments

  • If access is not ready at the scheduled time (elevator, keys, loading zone, etc.), wait time may be billed in 15-minute increments at your package rate.

Examples; when to apply:

  • elevator not booked / not available

  • no key access

  • client not present

  • loading zone blocked

  • building paperwork not ready
